Tech Trainer

Magnum Search Group has partnered with a leader in Material Handling Manufacturing. Together we are in search of a Technical Trainer to join their team in St Charles IL.

Responsible for development and delivery of technical training materials on company products, processes and technologies so as to
ensure that team members and customers develop, maintain, and increase their own technical and/or process knowledge. Assist junior level staff in carrying out complex assignments. Work under minimal supervision.
Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
  • The Global Operating System Plays
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard
  • ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard
  • TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards
  • Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors
  • Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy
  • Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements
  • Maintain department 5S requirements
  • Train Skyjack Employees & Customers in the technical aspect of our product lines
  • Maintain & Develop Technical Skyjack training programs
·    Marketing of training programs
·    Assist customers with issues relating to the use of aerial platforms, telehandlers and new products
·    Perform all training classes as required
·    Perform other duties/projects as assigned
  • A minimum completion of secondary school level education or equivalent Minimum two years of construction equipment sales or rental sales.
  • Technical related experience of at least three years
  • Writing/Developing Technical Training courses
  • Coordinating Projects, developing timelines and meeting timelines a must
  • Determine sequence of learning activities and teaching methods. Assess appropriateness and effectiveness of instructional resources and learning materials
  • Work with administrative staff to establish training dates, times and locations
  • Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Remain knowledgeable in areas of expertise and responsible for setting own learning goals. Learn on the job through daily discussions with co-workers and trainees and by reading professional and trade magazines
  • Must be able to travel Internationally
  • Travel Required will be from 50% to 75% of time
  • $65-$100K Base + Bonus up to 3%
