Talent Acquisition Specialist

Magnum Search Group has partnered with a high growth start-up in a fast-moving and highly competitive market. We are in search of a Demand Generation Manager to join their team in Toronto, ON. You'll be joining a welcoming, supportive and fun team that will make sure you have all the things you need to be successful in your role.

Are you keen to get hands-on and widen the scope of your role beyond sourcing and screening? If so, you could be what we’re looking for!
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is eager to grow their role beyond the typical scope! We are looking for that special someone who is comfortable building process from the ground up, coaching first time hiring managers and curating an employer brand that showcases all that makes our company unique! We want someone who is used to the fast-paced, results-oriented environment of a startup. Someone who spends their downtime perfecting their craft and the candidate experience!
Your Role Responsibilities
  • Manage and design the full recruitment life cycle from collaborating with hiring managers in identifying resourcing needs to screening and onboarding
  • Be a company champion and foster strong relationships with passive and active candidates
  • Create strong talent pipelines for the company’s current and future hiring needs
  • Build a unique and culture based employer brand for our two offices
  • Train first-time and experienced hiring managers on best practices
  • Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
  • Organize and attend meetups, job fairs and recruitment events
  • Assist in revamping the onboarding experience for our new employees
  • And so much more!
We’re also keenly interested in meeting those special Talent Acquisition team members who want to explore and gain exposure to People and Culture initiatives. We’re a start-up and aren’t afraid of blending roles or having you explore areas not typically found within your original scope.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Experience working with recruitment tools and platforms, including ATS’s, HRIS’s and social media platforms
  • Comfortable with public speaking or networking at public events
  • Experience training hiring managers on best practice hiring
  • Experience crafting unique job descriptions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience sourcing and building funnels for technical roles
  • A passion to continuously learn and improve
  • A passion for creating an awesome and fun candidate experience
