Marketing Analyst

Location: San Antonio, TX, United States
Magnum Recruiting has partnered with a leading global facilities and corporate food services company. We are in search of a Marketing Analyst to join their team in San Mateo, CA or San Antonio, TX.

To deliver accurate and relevant market and customer intelligence throughout North America to support our drive for new and organic business growth by undertaking detailed customer, competitor, market, and sector research. 
  • Research market trends and provide marketing intelligence that allows for an understanding of addressable markets and competitive landscape and helps drive the NAM Marketing Team strategic agenda.  Gather and verify intelligence from a variety of sources to build and enhance data intelligence on our current customers, chosen targets and market sectors
  • Support facilitation of strategy development (process and content), implementation and progress tracking
  • Take responsibility for delivering high-quality project output (analytics, solutions, business cases, implementation plans).  Input, retrieve and present data in a variety of formats, including detailed reports and dashboards
  • Ensure right impact on, and buy-in from, wide range of stakeholders
  • Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management.  Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.  Interface with CRM to follow the lead all the way through the Funnel. Partner with CRM Administrator to ensure all data is accurately entered and recorded
  • In partnership with external Digital Marketing Agency, monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company's goals.  Dive into demand generation data to determine the effectiveness of content types and targeting methodologies
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with Sales Team and CRM to understand how our Inbound Marketing activity turns into customers and continually refine our process to convert customers. Measure and track ROI of Inbound Marketing efforts
  • Make projections about the quality of the Marketing pipeline and spot opportunities for efficiencies. 
  • Conduct complex data analyses that will be used to inform strategic planning. Create and maintain metrics reports on activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Ensure data quality meets required accuracy levels through regular auditing.
  • Prioritise and organise workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
  • Actively support and assist the team to reach their objectives through strong leadership and collaborative working.
  • Undertake special research projects as required to support business priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideally from a sales, marketing, research or customer service background, this person will thrive working in target driven environment, be a proven and persuasive communicator with both internal and external stakeholders, and have strong sales knowledge. Familiarity with CRM database and office application skills are preferred.  Must be able to translate data and analytics into cohesive, actionable findings that can inform strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, finance, or business. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in management consulting preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related job
  • Knowledge of Inbound and Content Marketing best practices, including effective storytelling.  Certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of SEO and PPC and how they interface with content
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, editing, proofreading, and grammar skills
  • Experience building strategies and systems from the ground up preferred
  • An enquiring and persuasive nature, with the ability to research and obtain information using phone, internet and internal resources
  • Excellent telephone manner combined with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Highly proficient database and Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Methodical approach to work with good organisational skills
  • Strong computer literacy, and a competent user of Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to work to challenging targets and deadlines
